GivingDesk: the UK charities edition, in your browser

One of twelve industry systems we build from, each with its own screens, workflow and vocabulary. GivingDesk carries campaign meters, donor retention and appeal journeys, plus the pipeline, inbox with SMS and email, quotes the customer accepts online, schedule, editable automation flows, reports and a phone view. Sample data in your browser only. Your build carries your own stages, fields and rules.

Who this is for

Built for UK charities

UK registered charities with 2 to 50 staff, from local hospices and community organisations to national membership bodies, currently running on spreadsheets, a legacy database or a per-record priced tool that still needs separate systems for services and volunteers.

Gift Aid without the spreadsheet

Declarations are recorded against the supporter, eligible donations are flagged automatically and the HMRC claim schedule is exported in the required format each quarter, with a report of unclaimed eligible gifts.

Memberships that renew by direct debit

Membership types, renewals, GoCardless direct debits, reminders and member benefits, with a renewal report and lapsed member follow up sequence.

Beneficiary and service records with proper access control

Case notes, sessions and outcomes for the people you serve, visible only to the service team, with safeguarding fields restricted further, and outcome reports by funder.

Fundraising events and appeals

Event registrations, ticket payments, sponsorship pages linked to supporters, and appeal performance by channel and segment.

Questions we get asked

How much does a charity CRM cost?

A charity CRM with supporters, donations, Gift Aid, memberships, events and reporting is typically 7,900 to 12,900 pounds fixed, delivered in six to eight weeks. A supporter database with Gift Aid and reports starts at 4,900 pounds. There are no per-user or per-record fees, and smaller charities can phase the build over two budgets.

Does it handle Gift Aid claims?

Yes. Gift Aid declarations are stored against each supporter with the date, type and address. Eligible donations are flagged automatically, the HMRC schedule is exported in the required spreadsheet format, claimed donations are marked and a report shows eligible but unclaimed gifts so nothing is left on the table.

Is the data held in the UK?

Yes. Hosting is in a London cloud region or on a UK server, backups stay in the UK and a data processing agreement is signed for every project. Access to beneficiary and safeguarding records is restricted by role rather than by screen, and every single access is logged with who read what and when.

Can it replace Donorfy, Beacon or Raiser's Edge?

For many small and medium charities, yes, with a migration of supporters, donations, declarations and memberships handled by us. Charities move when the annual subscription has grown past a few thousand pounds, when services and volunteers need to be in the same system, or when the trustees want the charity to own its data.
