GivingDesk: the membership organisations edition, in your browser

One of twelve industry systems we build from, each with its own screens, workflow and vocabulary. GivingDesk carries campaign meters, donor retention and appeal journeys, plus the pipeline, inbox with SMS and email, quotes the customer accepts online, schedule, editable automation flows, reports and a phone view. Sample data in your browser only. Your build carries your own stages, fields and rules.

Who this is for

Built for membership organisations

Trade associations, professional bodies, chambers of commerce, sports clubs and alumni organisations with 200 to 50,000 members, run by a small team that spends too much time on renewals and event admin.

Renewals that run themselves

Renewal invoices raised on schedule, reminders at 30, 14 and 1 days, card or direct debit collection, and a lapsed sequence with a reinstatement path. The renewal report shows retention by category in real time.

Member portal and directory

Members log in to update details, pay, download invoices, book events and see their CPD record. A searchable directory with privacy controls replaces the annual PDF.

Events with CPD and attendance

Event pages, ticketing with member pricing, capacity, waitlists, check in on the day and CPD points added to the member record automatically.

Committees, roles and communications

Committee membership with terms, meeting records, and segmented emails to categories, regions or committees with open and click tracking on the member record.

Questions we get asked

How much does a membership CRM cost?

A membership CRM with members, renewals, payments, events, committees, portal and directory is typically 11,900 to 18,900 US dollars fixed, delivered in seven to nine weeks. A member database with renewals and reports starts at 5,900. There are no per-member fees, which is where most membership platforms charge the most.

Can members update their own details?

Yes. The member portal lets members edit their profile and contact preferences, pay invoices, download receipts, book events, view CPD and, for organisation memberships, manage their own staff list. For organisation memberships they can manage their own staff list as well. Every change is logged and can be reviewed by the office afterwards.

Does it handle organisational memberships?

Yes. An organisation membership carries its contacts, primary contact, seats or tiers and invoicing details. Staff of the member organisation get their own logins with the benefits their organisation's tier allows, and the renewal goes to the right person. Organisation renewals can include seat count changes, and invoices show the tier and the named users so the member's finance team can approve them without questions.

Can it replace our current membership platform?

Usually. We migrate members, membership history, invoices, event attendance and CPD records, then run both systems side by side for one renewal cycle if you want the reassurance. Organisations move when the platform fee has grown with the member list or when the portal and events no longer fit how they work.
