Retainer: the salons and spas edition, in your browser

One of twelve industry systems we build from, each with its own screens, workflow and vocabulary. Retainer carries retainers, MRR and renewals on a 12 month strip, plus the pipeline, inbox with SMS and email, quotes the customer accepts online, schedule, editable automation flows, reports and a phone view. Sample data in your browser only. Your build carries your own stages, fields and rules.

Use Expand in the demo toolbar for a full screen view, press Escape to close it, or open the salons and spas demo on its own page.

Who this is for

Built for salons and spas

Hair salons, beauty salons, spas and clinics with 1 to 10 locations and 3 to 60 staff, using a booking system that holds the diary but tells them nothing about retention, rebooking or which stylists keep their clients.

Rebooking at the chair

A rebooking prompt at checkout with the recommended interval, and a text reminder if the client leaves without rebooking. Rebooking rate reported per stylist.

Client records with formulas

Colour formulas, treatment notes, allergies and preferences on the client, visible to any staff member serving them, with photos of results.

Lapsing client reactivation

Clients overdue against their own visit pattern get a message with a booking link, and a report shows the value of lapsed clients by stylist.

Memberships and packages

Monthly memberships and session packages collected by direct debit or card, tracked to usage and expiry.

Pipeline

The stages work moves through

  6. Lapsing
  7. Reactivated

Questions we get asked

How much does a salon CRM cost?

A salon CRM with client records, rebooking automation, reactivation, memberships and staff reporting is typically 6,900 to 11,900 US dollars fixed, delivered in five to seven weeks. A client record and rebooking tool on its own starts at 4,900. There are no per-location or per-staff fees, so chairs rented to freelancers are included.

Does it replace our booking system?

It can sit alongside it, importing appointments daily and adding client history, rebooking, retention and marketing, or for single location salons we include a booking diary so one system does both. We recommend which of the two during discovery, based on what your current booking system genuinely does well and what it has never handled.

Can it send rebooking reminders?

Yes. When a client checks out without rebooking, a text goes out with a booking link at the interval recommended for the service. Reminders before appointments reduce no shows, and clients overdue against their own pattern get a reactivation message. Every message is in your words.

Does it track staff performance?

Yes. Rebooking rate, retail per visit, client retention, average spend and utilisation are reported per staff member, which shows who keeps their clients and where training would pay. Staff can see their own numbers on a phone, which most salons find more effective than a monthly meeting, and targets can be set per person and per service.
